Ioana Ruxandra Anastasiu attended her superior studies of music in the Music Academy of Bucharest, Romania, obtaining the degree in instrumental interpretation (flute) in 1999. From 2000 to 2003 she acquired a Master in instrumental interpretation in Bern, Switzerland, and studied Musicology and Musical Criticism.
Her educational experience as flute and musical theory theacher has been developed in the Schools Paul Constantinescu and George Enescu, both in Romania, and also during academic course 2002-2003 as a flute proffesor in the Conservatory of Music of Bern, Switzerland.
She has been soloist in concerts with: Romanian Atheneum Orchestra, Symphonic Radio Orchestra and other orchestras like "George Enescu" Philarmonic Orchestra, Giurgiu Symphonic Orchestra, "Bucharest Young Symphonic Orchestra", National Opera of Rumanñia, etc. From 1993 to 2003 she gave to concerts and recitales in Denmark, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Austria and Switzerland.
She is in possession of the First Prize in the National Competition of Music of Romania (1993-1999); First Prize in the Festival "Darclée" (1994); First Prize in the Festival "Mozart" Romania; First Prize in International Woodwind Instruments Competition, Kronstadt; The musician of the year 2003, Berner Haller Loge, Switzerland.
Currently she is acquiring her doctor degree in the program Musical Educationa Multidisciplinar Perspective at the University of Granada and since 2005 she has been collaborating with the department Didactics of the Musical Expression from the University of Granada in different articles in magazines and contributions to scientific congresses on music and musical education.
